Research Collaborative
Throughout both phases of RViR, we developed the Research Collaborative (RC) – a space where VCSE organisations, community members, and researchers can come together to discuss best practice for engaging underserved communities in research and share opportunities for research participation, involvement, and engagement.
The RC is hosted on an online platform called ‘Basecamp’, where members can use group chat and message board functions to discuss different topics and share links and documents.
As well as the online platform, the RC aims to meet three times per year either online or in-person.
We’d love as many VCSE organisations, researchers, and community members to join the Research Collaborative as possible. Joining the RC is beneficial for many stakeholders:
- Informs VCSEs of research opportunities important to their community members that they can share
- Provides opportunities for VCSEs and community members to shape research by connecting with researchers and involvement and engagement opportunities
- Provides opportunities for researchers to develop relationships with VCSEs, leading to meaningful PPIE work and more inclusive research practices
